If you have driven around Central Park in Fredericksburg lately, then you may have noticed some construction going on around the Fredericksburg Expo Center including a new sign. Renamed as the Fredericksburg Convention Center, a massive upgrade of the interior and exterior of the building is taking place.
The rename comes as a result of the management wanting to reflect that the Fredericksburg Convention Center is a multi-purpose space not limited to just conferences. Constructions crews are working on upgrading the flooring, ballroom, and restrooms inside of the Fredericksburg Convention Center. The exterior of the building is also getting a little attention too.
There are plenty of events still scheduled at the Fredericksburg Convention Center throughout the year. Upcoming events include:
- Food and Wine Expo (April 29)
- Fredericksburg Garage Sale (June 3)
- Fredericksburg Comic and Toy Show (July 8)
There are already events scheduled for 2024!
