It’s the last Monday in 2024, but it feels like I just sat down to write my 2023 year in review! As we prepare for 2025, I like to spend a few moments reflecting on my year as a Locust Grove REALTOR ®. First, I need to thank all of you who have allowed me to come along on your real estate journey. Whether you were a first time home buyer or a seasoned seller, I am so grateful to have been able to help guide you and share my knowledge of all things real estate in central Virginia in order to help you reach your home goals. It was an honor getting to know you all and be part of your lives!

Take a look at all of the home sales that this Locust Grove REALTOR ® got to be a part of this year!
While my office may be in Locust Grove, I enjoy getting to travel all over the central Virginia area in order to help my clients. The real estate market has been a challenging but navigable one for sellers and buyers over the past few years, but I think we are starting to see some relief. The interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve will help to slowly bring down mortgage rates. Lower rates give buyers more spending power. Sellers are also glad to see more activity in the market. Locally, the average days on the market for homes in Locust Grove is down from the late spring high of one hundred days.
As I tell all my first time home buyers, understanding the local market and having a great lender on your side are important factors when you begin a home search. For sellers, being informed about the local market, doing what you can to have your home move in ready, and working with an experienced REALTOR® all contribute to your success.
Stats for Sean Jones Locust Grove REALTOR ®
Did you know that according to NAR in 2023, the median number of homes a REALTOR® sold in a year was 10? Thanks to all my clients and the other professionals I work with everyday, I am well above this median. I couldn’t get it done with help from title companies, mortgage lenders, home inspectors, and contractors. I also have to thank my wife because she holds down the fort at home whenever I’ve got to head out for an appointment or have a last minute change of plans.
In 2024, I was able to participate in twenty seven real estate transactions which totaled $9,551,099; whether it was buying a lot for a future home build, helping a seller coordinate a sell and and a purchase, or finding the perfect house for a first time home buyer, it was a pleasure helping guide all my clients through the process. I am the number one agent at my local office which is an honor considering all the awesome agents who work there.
I am excited and looking forward to the new year. As a Locust Grove REALTOR ®, I am always here to help you!
