Falmouth’s history dates back to the early 1700’s and served a critical roll in the Civil war. It’s located due north of Fredericksburg just on the other side of the Rappahannock river and officially became part of Stafford County in 1776. Today, it has blossomed into a bedroom community and is highly sought after for it’s closeness to the VRE and I95. The University of Mary Washington is just a few minutes to the south and is walking distance of the historic downtown area of Fredericksburg. There is an eclectic mix of 1st time buyer smaller homes, townhomes, and newer construction neighborhoods to be found here.
