Log homes have been part of the United States’ homes catalog for a very long time. Constructed by laying logs horizontally to create the walls of a home, log homes are as unique as the logs that make them. Some are small and cabin like while others can fit the entire extended family over for the holidays. Of course the hallmark feature of a log home is all the exposed woodwork from the walls to beams. Some homes have vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, loft spaces.
