A modular home is a popular home building method because the construction cost can be less expensive than traditionally  built homes.  Instead of being built on site, modular homes are made indoor at factories in modules or sections and then the modules are taken to the home site to be attached together on a foundation.  They have building codes and standards that must be adhered to just like a traditionally built home.   While once stigmatized as a lesser quality home, the modular homes of today are of high quality and sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between a modular and traditionally built home   There are many different floor plans and styles available so the inside of one modular home may not resemble another.

Are you interested in buying a current modular home or purchasing a new one?  It is important to speak with a Realtor who has experience in dealing with the sale of modular homes to make your home buying process as smooth as possible.
