The kids are settled back into their school routines and fall is just a few weeks away.  Whether you are a long time resident or have just moved to Locust Grove, here are some events happening locally in September.

September 2nd:  Head over to Culpeper for 1st Friday at the Depot.  Enjoy family friendly activities, music, local artists, and more.

September 3rd:  Ever been to a rodeo?  Culpeper is hosting it’s first professional rodeo at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises.  Grab tickets here.

September 4th:  Mountain Run Winery in Culpeper is sponsoring Woof & Wag at the Winery.  Bring you dog and run, or walk a 5k, explore vender booths, and enjoy some wine.

September 10th: The Orange Street Festival is happening in downtown Orange from 9-4. There is plenty of food, shopping, and live music!

September 17th: Wild Roots Music Festival: Head over to Wilderness Presidential Resort just off of Route 3 to enjoy some live music, food, and beverages.  

September 17th: Spend the weekend learning a little more about the local farms and all they have to offer at Culpeper’s Harvest Day Farm Tour . The self guided tour takes you to fifteen farms where there will be activities and games for children.

September 18th:  Interested in learning more about electric vehicles?  The Electric Vehicle Fall Festival is being held at Dominion Raceway in Woodford. 

September 24th:  Everything but the Garage Sale  is Fredericksburg’s largest indoor garage sale. This event takes place at the Expo Center.  Grab an early bird ticket to find the best treasures.

September 24th: Deep Roots Home & Garden Center is sponsoring their annual fall festival. Come shop local vendor booths and enjoy some delicious food.

September 25th: Culpeper’s block part and bbq competition, Hop N Hog, is happening in front of the depot in downtown Culpeper from 12-5.
