There are lots of places to play within Lake of the Woods!
Lake of the Woods is a gated community located in northern Orange County. Just off of Route Three about halfway between Culpeper and Fredericksburg in Locust Grove, Lake of the Woods offers many amenities to its residents. The parks and playgrounds around Lake of the Woods are just one of the reasons many families have decided to make Lake of the Woods home.
Greensprings Park is a perfect one to visit on those hot sunny days. A walking path, shaded by trees, surrounds this park in Lake of the Woods. There are swings and other playground equipment, restrooms, and picnic tables here. This park has a basketball court.
The Clubhouse area and beach are popular gathering spaces in the summer. In addition to the pool, there is also a playground and basketball court here as well as picinic tables.
Hollyfield Park features tennis and pickleball courts along with baseball fields that have lights for evening games. You might even see local youth teams practicing here. This park in Lake of the Woods has a playground with swings and slides, and it also has a large covered pavilion with picnic tables. This park has restrooms too.
Sweetbriar Park is located right next to the swimming pool and is perfect for families who need to take a break from the pool in the summer. It has a playground for toddlers as well as one for older children. There is a soccer field and picnic tables. This park in Lake of the Woods also has a walking path around the perimeter.
Spotswood Park in Lake of the Woods features playground equipment and picnic tables. Near the front entrance, this park also has a walking trail that links it to the clubhouse.
Keaton’s Run Park has a playground and picnic tables located near the small lake. There isn’t much shade at this park, so plan on visiting it on a cooler day.
The HOA works hard to maintain all of these wonderful parks and playgrounds for the residents to enjoy. In addition to have parking spaces around most of the parks, many residents of Lake of the Woods are able to walk to one from their home since the parks are spread out throughout the community.
