Just off of Route Three, heading west towards Fredericksburg, you will find the front gate of Lake of the Woods.  The largest community in Orange County, Lake of the Woods offers plenty of single family homes in a variety of styles. From traditional colonials, to log cabins, A-frames, and ranches, this neighborhood has a home for everyone. But, did you know that there is another section of Lake of Woods outside of the gate?

Section 16 of Lake of the Woods is found on the other side of Route Three.  While there are less than twenty homes and lots in this section, they are spread out on one acre (or more) lots.  These lots are larger than the ones you will find inside of Lake of the Woods, and like the homes in Lake of the Woods, these homes are surrounded by trees. The peacefulness of this section is appealing to many buyers. While you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere, it is only a quick five minute drive to stores for groceries and other everyday essentials.

A later addition to Lake of the Woods, section 16 residents can enjoy all the amenities offered at the lake just as if their homes were located inside of Lake of the Woods.  These homes in Lake of the Woods have access to the two lakes, beaches, and all the water sports and activities. You can be a member of the community gym, relax in one of the two swimming pools, or stroll around the walking path at a park. Lake of the Woods also has an equestrian center, clubhouse, golf course, restaurants, tennis and basketball courts, and playgrounds. Lake of the Woods security also monitors this area.
