Be on the lookout for Santa on top of a fire truck!

Santa Claus will be making his rounds through the neighborhoods in Locust Grove over the next two weekends. Thanks to the generosity of our local fire department, Lake of the Woods Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, the little ones in your family will have to opportunity to wave to Santa as he rides through the streets on a fire truck. The routes begin at approximately 5 p.m.

You will most likely hear Santa visit Locust Grove before you see him thanks to the fire whistles but it gives everyone time to throw on a coat and head outside. You can also track him on the fire departments website: https://lowfr29.com/community-resources/santa-tracker/

Here is the schedule for Santa’s visits to the homes in Locust Grove; please note that this schedule can change due to any emergency calls that LOW Fire receives.

December 13, 2024: Santa will visit part of Lake of the Woods from the front gate to Confederate Circle (marina side). He will also stop by the Walmart, Food Lion, and Sheetz parking lots.

December 14, 2024: Santa will complete his visit to Lake of the Woods by heading from Confederate Circle (golf course side) to the front gate. He will say hello to folks over on Rapidan Road and also visit Sheetz, Food Lion, and Walmart.

December 20, 2024: Santa will make one ride around Lake of the Woods and then head over to greet residents of Germanna Heights and Wilderness Shores.

December 21, 2024: The final night for Santa to visit Locust Grove will include another loop around Lakeview Parkway in Lake of the Woods followed by a stop at Sheets, Food Lion, and Walmart parking lots. He will then head over to Somerset and Twin Lake.
